The aim of Queerest of the Queer is to build a festival that showcases the amazing talent in the London, UK and International Queer performance scene – Think Punk! Think Drag! Think DIY! Think Queer!
We built this festival as our response to the venues that are closing and under threat, as a response to the cost of living in London. So we found the biggest venue we could and decided to bring the queer tribes from across London together.
The Queerest of the Queer is a collaboration between the Meth Lab, Wotever World and the Queer Embassy. We are working with LGBT Underground and BoiBox who each are programming and running an area of the festival. This means we can offer a real diversity of acts, of views, and ways of being- representative of as much of the scenes in London as possible.
We believe Queer is not just your sexuality, it is also your mindset. You don’t have to be an omnisexual polyamourous kinkster to be “queer” – blow away the boxes of gender and sexuality and connect on a very human level. There is no “queer enough” at Queerest of the Queer.
So here we are, Queer, Punk and DIY! Bringing a massive festival to you – our lovely audience.
